  • Archaeological Museum of Cyprus
  • Monument of Freedom and Archbishop's Palace (external visit)
  • Neolithic Settlement of Choirokoitia

What we will do
  • Comfortably seated on a coach, we will arrive in Nicosia, the heart of the island. This millennia-old city has deep historic roots in its remote Bronze Age past and has been the capital of Cyprus since the 11th century AC.
  • We will enter into old Nicosia passing the Venetian walls of the 16th century, which served to protect the city centre and which still protect the genuinely authentic atmosphere of the historic centre, with the narrow alleyways, projecting balconies and craft stores.
  • Our first stop is the Archaeological Museum of Cyprus, which houses a precious and fascinating antique collection of Cypriot treasures from the Neolithic Period through to the early Byzantine Period.
  • Upon leaving, we can admire the Monument of Freedom, erected in 1973 and dear to the Greek people of Cyprus as it is a symbol of the fight for independence. The Archbishop's Palace, with its harmonious round arches is next, which we will admire from the outside.
  • On the return journey to the port of Limassol, we will visit the Neolithic Settlement of Choirokoitia (7000 BC), which has been declared a UNESCO Heritage Site. With its different layers representing the various construction stages, this site illustrates Cyprus' complete Neolithic history and reveals precious details on the culture of the period in the region.
