  • We will continue on foot to visit what was once the most lively area in the city: ancient Agorà of Athens. People would gather here for political, commercial and administrative purposes, as well as to discuss religious issues and questions of social relationships. Agorà was also headquarters of the legal system and it was here that, in 399 B.C., Socrates was sentenced to death accused of introducing strange gods and of having corrupted the youth”.
  • With the guide, we will continue on our journey to the picturesque area of Monastiraki, where we will be offered the most famous and typical example of traditional Greek cuisine, gyros pita, a favourite street food amongst the Greeks made up of a pita stuffed with meat, vegetables and chips, accompanied with a glass of ouzo or wine, or a drink and water.
  • Before we bid farewell to the city, we will have time to enjoy a stroll through Monastiraki or Plaka to browse the shops or sit in one of the many cafés that line Via Andrianou, where we cannot take our eyes off the wonderful Acropolis.
