In a nutshell

Rome is the Eternal City and the memory of it will stay with you for a very long time. Follow the guide on a tour of the symbolic sites of the city and stroll through the narrow streets of the center as you've seen others do in hundreds of movies: except that you are now center stage. Back home you can share all the selfies you've taken against the most iconic monuments and tell everyone how good a real amatriciana tastes.

GREEN PASS IS REQUIRED FOR THIS EXCURSION, PLEASE CARRY IT WITH YOU. IN CASE YOU DO NOT HAVE IT

Main stops
  • Baths of Caracalla, basilicas of Saint John Lateran and Saint Mary Major
  • Castel Sant'Angelo
  • Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain
  • Pantheon and Piazza Navona
  • Colosseum, Circus Maximus and Pyramid of Caius Cestius
  • Typical Roman lunch

The programme
  • Get comfortable on the bus and prepare to enjoy a slide show of the Great Beauty. The tour begins at the Baths of Caracalla: inaugurated in 216 AD, they could accommodate up to 1500 people.
  • Saint John Lateran is the oldest church in the western world and the bell tower of Saint Mary Major is the tallest in Rome: its bell, nicknamed 'La Sperduta' (the lost one), rings after 9.00 pm in memory of a pilgrim who arrived in Rome and became lost after nightfall.
  • And here is Castel Sant’Angelo.
First built as a mausoleum for Hadrian, through its long history it has also been a papal castle, court house, fortress and prison.
  • Feel like a modern star of the cinema as you walk to the Spanish Steps, or as bold as a diva when you come face to face with the Trevi Fountain: no bathing this time, but you can toss a coin in the water and make a wish to visit Rome again soon.
  • Don't miss the Pantheon, first a pagan temple and later a Christian church, or the extremely elegant baroque Piazza Navona: the obelisk on the fountain was taken from the Temple of Isis in Egypt.
  • What kind of bacon is best when making an amatriciana sauce? It's best not to ask a Roman: find out for yourself in a city center restaurant.
  • After this feast of art, beauty and local food, fill your eyes with more attractions as the bus drives past the Colosseum, Circus Maximus and Pyramid of Caius Cestius.
