What we will do
  • Leaving the port behind us, we start our excursion on foot with a lovely walk to the old Eid district in the northern part of Nordfjordeid.
  • Here, we visit the Eid parish church part of the Bjørgvin dioceses. The building, which is made of white wood, was blessed in 1849 by Bishop Kjerschow and can seat up to 550 people.
  • After visiting the church, we continue our walk along the fjord as far as Skårhaug.
  • We visit a typical Norwegian house and meet its owners who, in a homely welcoming environment, tell us about the history of the house and show us the old utensils used on the farm.
  • In the garden or in the internal hall, we are offered tea and coffee and can taste local pastries and sweets made by the owners who also share the secrets of their recipes according to Norwegian tradition and invite us to try preparing and baking the sweets ourselves.
  • After the visit and tasting session, we walk back to the ship.

What you need to know
