Description An exceptional panoramic tour of the Stad peninsula passing through picturesque coastal villages with spectacular views of imposing mountains and amazing waterfalls as far as the steep cliff of Cape West, one of the westernmost places in Norway from where we can admire the Atlantic ocean in all its strength and sublime charm. An experience not to be missed!

What we will see
  • Panoramic road from Nordfjordeid to Selje with spectacular views
  • Coastal village of Selje and walk on the beach
  • Stad Peninsula and arrival in Cape West, a steep cliff plunging into the sea
  • Return to Nordfjordeid through the village of Brygga

What we will do
  • We set off from Nordfjordeid on a coach headed west to the coastal village of Selje. Along the panoramic road, we can admire the typical Norwegian scenery boasting spectacular views of imposing mountains and amazing waterfalls.
  • Once in Selje, we are immediately impressed by the charm of this charming village and by the beautiful and unspoilt white sandy beach where we have plenty of time for a relaxing walk.
  • We return to our coach and drive across the Stad peninsula for half an hour as far as Vestkapp, i.e. Cape West, one of the westernmost places in Norway characterised by a steep cliff of almost 500 metres which plunges into the sea and is known as Kjerringa offering superb views of the Atlantic Ocean.
  • The area is swept by strong winds and is famous for its extremely heavy storms that often force the ships to standby near the promontory and wait for the sea to calm down.
  • We set off from Cape West to return to Nordfjordeid but, along the way, we make one last interesting stop at the village of Brygga. It is located in Vestland county along the northern coast of Nordfjorden and it features typical colourful houses overlooking the fjord.
