Description A fun and unusual excursion visiting the fantastic Punta Cana, its stunning tropical beaches and the 'Indigenous Eyes' reserve on a segway – an electric mode of transport similar to a scooter – which we can use to roam around freely. Fun guaranteed!

What we will see
  • Coach transfer to the segway departure point and instructions on use and safety
  • Punta Cana: stop at La Choza beach, relaxation and swimming
  • Visit to the tropical gardens: iguanas
  • Return to the segway base
  • Visit to the 'Indigenous Eyes' reserve and swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the lagoon

What we will do
  • We will take the coach from the port to the departure point for our excursion, where we will find several segways for us to use. An instructor will provide some important instructions on safety and how to use the segway, but it is amazing how easy it is to drive this modern mode of transport.
  • Then we will set off on our tour and head to our first stop at La Choza beach in Punta Cana. This area is famous for its numerous resorts, sparkling white sandy beaches, crystal-clear sea and lush tropical vegetation that envelops the coast.
  • We will have some free time to relax on the beach and go for a swim in the beautiful waters of the Caribbean Sea before we set off on our segway again for the next stop.
  • Our tour will continue to the tropical gardens, where we will be able to interact with iguanas that have made this their natural habitat, as well as other creatures.
  • After our tour of the tropical gardens, we will return to where we collected our segways and **visit the 'Indigenous Eyes' Ecological Park and Reserve, a private protected area spanning 1,500 acres dedicated to scientific research and the conservation of plant and animal species. The reserve’s name 'Indigenous Eyes' comes from the presence of 12 freshwater lagoons, which the indigenous people referred to as 'eyes'.
  • In five of these lagoons and their crystal-clear waters we can enjoy a refreshing swim before we return to the port and the ship.
