Khalifa bin Salman
ANCIENT CIVILISATION, LIFE AND ORIGIN OF BAHRAIN
You'll leave the port and drive to the National Museum, with its historical exhibits, to get an insight into the daily lives and cultural background of the region. Your next stop will be the Grand Mosque - a living example of Islamic grandeur - which is the largest mosque in the island and can accommodate 7,000 worshippers. You'll then drive to the Ancient Saar settlement from the Delmon Civilization, dating back to the second millennium BC. Your last stop before returning back to the ship will be the A'Ali Burial Mounds, which date as far back as the third millennium BC.

Please note: Because of the differences in temperature between the places visited and the air-conditioned vehicles and the temperature outside, we recommend that you wear a light cotton jumper. When visiting the Mosque shoes should be removed and socks should be worn. Appropriate clothing for a visit to a mosque is required for men; women will be given suitable clothing at the mosque and must have their heads covered. The order of the itinerary may vary. Grand Mosque is closed on Fridays, an outside visit and a photo stop will take place.
