  • Visit to the vibrant Gukje Market

The programme
  • Our tour will take us along roads lined with lush nature and crystal-clear waters as we travel to Geumjeongsan Mountain, home to the picturesque Buddhist Beomeosa Temple, built in 678 by monk Ui Sang, an important figure for Korean Buddhism. The temple lies in a very tranquil and spiritual setting, which includes a pagoda, several pavilions, three decorated gates and 11 hermitages. The Beomeosa complex is considered one of South Korea’s national treasures and a place of particular artistic interest. We will have a unique opportunity here to take part in the traditional tea ceremony.
  • Then we will leave this spiritual temple behind and head to the bustling Gukje Market, the largest traditional market in Busan. In the 1950s it was given over to the refugees, who could open up shops to make a living, but it has since developed into a popular, colourful market where we can find practically everything at a reasonable price.
