What we will do
  • We leave the port behind us and head off to discover Dublin as we walk around the city centre and admire some of the city’s most charming streets and squares.
  • Our walking tour focuses on the Georgian architectural heritage, among the best preserved in the British Isles and characterised by red-brick terrace buildings overlooking squares and gardens once reserved to residents.
  • We pass by Trinity College, the famous university among the oldest in Ireland where renowned literates such as Samuel Beckett and Oscar Wilde studied.
  • We head to Merrion Square, the beating heart of the city centre with manicured gardens and colourful flowerbeds overlooked by austere buildings with the famous vibrant-coloured doors with fan-shaped windows.
  • We admire Leinster House, a majestic noble residence built in 1745 and now seat of the Irish Parliament. It used to be the most beautiful and important building in Dublin and was a true point of reference for Georgian architecture.
  • We walk along one of the four roads that border St Stephen’s Green, a green oasis in the heart of Dublin created 400 years ago, as well as along Dawson Street with its Mansion House, official residence of the Mayor of Dublin since 1715 and designed by architect Joshua Dawson.
  • After our walk, a shuttle bus takes us back to the port.
