  • San Carlo Theater and Umberto I Gallery
  • Piazza del Plebiscito, Royal Palace, Church of San San Francesco di Paola (external visit)
  • Riviera di Chiaia
  • Posillipo
  • Via Caracciolo, the Neapolitan seafront

The programme
  • Naples can't wait to amaze you: starting in the port with the imposing Maschio Angioino castle, once occupied by kings and viceroys.
  • From the San Carlo Theater, the oldest in Europe and still operating, continue to the Umberto I Gallery, a historic place of entertainment for aristocrats and artists. You're in the best place to enjoy a “tazzulella” or small cup of Neapolitan coffee, which connoisseurs rate as the best in the world.
  • Don't be surprised if at Piazza del Plebiscito you see someone blindfolded and trying to walk in a straight line between the Royal Palace and the equestrian statues of the Bourbons. Spoiler alert: it's impossible, the sloping ground will lead them in completely the wrong direction.
  • Did you know that the Church of San Francesco di Paola is inspired by the Pantheon? Our guide will tell you all about this and more.
  • From Riviera di Chiaia, with its aristocratic Aragonese villas, climb up to Posillipo: there is no better view of the Bay. With Vesuvius in the background.
  • On the way back, stroll along the Via Caracciolo seafront promenade, the venue of choice for Neapolitan families to go for a walk before their huge Sunday lunch; in the evening the place comes alive with its many bars, clubs and restaurants.
